Bendee: The Game (stylised as Bendee Stick The Game) is a point-and-click adventure game created by Edd Gould and uploaded to Newgrounds on July 27th, 2003. The player controls Bendee, as he goes on an adventure to find and kill Ticky, as this is his main goal given to him by a gangster group under threat of death.

Gameplay[]

Bendee: The Game is a 2D adventure game played from a third-person perspective. The player uses the mouse to guide and control Bendee's actions. To progress through the game, the player has to point and click on the corrects places or objects to help Bendee. The player also has to choose from 2 options on many parts of the game, and if the player selects the wrong options, Bendee dies in some way, after which the player starts right back from where they were before dying.

Plot[]

The game starts with Bendee inside his house, until a gangster group member knock on the door and tells him to kill Ticky, because he owes The Boss money. Bendee then goes on a trip to find Ticky, and on the way he steals a sniper rifle from a guy on a building, whom he pushes shortly after. Bendee then gets back on road and shoots a bomb so he can pass safely.

By the time he gets inside a building, he realises he doesn't have more ammo, but he finds another gun on a vent, and proceeds to enter the lift of the building. He tries to find Ticky by going to the fourth floor, but he quickly finds out the floor's locked, so he has to go to the third floor. He then enters a room and gets outside the building by the window, and climbs up the outside stairs of the building, and enters Ticky's room.

When he finds Ticky, the player has the option to kill or save him. If the player kills him, Ticky dies, and Bendee gets paid by the gangster, and the player unlocks the Good Ending. If the player instead decides to save him, Bendee will change his mind about the gangsters, and decide to kill them and their boss, and the player unlocks the Awesome Ending.

Development[]

Edd first mentioned about making the game on a post on the old Eddsworld website, where he asked what kind of game it should be.[1] There where three options to choose from, either a platformer game, a shooting game, or a point-and-click game. To choose, you had to write either [PLATFORM], [SHOOT'EMUP], or [CLICK]. The post received no replies, so Edd said he would make it a point-and-click game on the next post.[1]
